Sheer curtains & blockout blinds, Punchbowl
Sheer wave curtains and a blockout roller blind for a Punchbowl home that suddenly needed privacy, after a new unit block started going up behind it.

Project details
Location: Punchbowl, NSW (Canterbury-Bankstown)
Products: Sheer curtains (wave fold) and a blockout roller blind
Fabrics: Nettex Bali sheer in Driftwood; Shaw Vibe blockout in Linen
Rooms: Living room and bedroom
Challenge: New units going up behind the house, and a concrete fixing surface
The challenge
A new unit block was being built behind the house, and the homeowners suddenly had people able to see straight into their living room and bedroom. They wanted privacy during the day without losing their light, and proper blockout in the bedroom at night.
What we did
We made sheer wave curtains in Nettex Bali, colour Driftwood, for the living room sliding door and the bedroom window. The sheer lets daylight in while making it much harder to see inside from outside. In the bedroom we added a blockout roller blind in Shaw Vibe, colour Linen, behind the sheer, so the room can be fully closed off at night.
The tracks and brackets were fixed into concrete, which needs the right drilling and fixings to get a secure, straight installation that will last.
The result
The rooms still feel bright and open during the day, the new building behind is screened from view, and the bedroom goes dark when the blind is down. The warm Driftwood sheer gives both rooms a soft, consistent look.
