Make the alfresco usable year-round
Outdoor blinds and Zip Screens can reduce sun, glare and wind-blown rain, and add privacy to patios, pergolas, balconies and alfresco areas. They help turn an outdoor space into a more comfortable extension of the home.
Structure and exposure
The right system depends on the structure, how exposed the area is, and the size of the opening. Before quoting, we look at what the blinds will be fixed to and talk through how they perform in wind. Some structures and conditions limit what is suitable, and we will say so.

Outdoor, patio & alfresco blinds: your questions answered
Can you fit blinds to a patio, pergola or alfresco area?
Many outdoor openings can accommodate blinds, subject to the supporting structure, fixing points and exposure. We inspect the area and measure the openings before recommending a suitable installation.
Are outdoor blinds waterproof?
Weather resistance varies by fabric and system. Outdoor blinds should not automatically be treated as a waterproof wall or a fully weatherproof enclosure. We explain the limitations of the product you are considering.
Will outdoor blinds reduce sun and glare?
They can provide shade and reduce direct sunlight reaching the covered area. The effect depends on fabric, orientation and coverage. Visibility and airflow also vary, so we compare options around your priorities.
Can outdoor blinds stay down in strong winds?
Follow the operating limits and care instructions for the selected system. Some conditions require blinds to be retracted or secured as directed by the manufacturer. We explain the relevant guidance for your installation.
