How much do plantation shutters cost in Sydney?
Plantation shutters are made for each opening, so there is no single price per window. Here is what changes the cost, where you can save, and how to get an accurate number for your home.

Why online prices vary so much
Shutters are built to the exact size of each window or door. A price per square metre from a website rarely matches what a real home needs, because the material, the panel layout and the frame for each opening all change the total. That is why we quote after measuring.
What changes the price
- Material. Polymer, timber and aluminium shutters are priced differently. Polymer is often the most budget-friendly choice and is popular in wet areas, while timber and aluminium usually cost more.
- Size and number of panels. Bigger openings need more panels, more material and stronger hardware.
- How the panels open. Hinged, bi-fold and sliding panels use different hardware. Sliding doors in particular need the right system for the space you have.
- Frames and shapes. Bay windows, corners, angled tops and openings that need extra framing take more work to make and fit.
- Installation. High windows, uneven reveals and difficult fixing surfaces take longer to install properly.
How to keep the cost under control
Put shutters where they make the biggest difference, such as street-facing rooms and bedrooms, and consider blinds or curtains for the rest. Polymer is a practical choice for bathrooms and laundries. If you are doing several rooms, have them measured and quoted together so the whole job is planned at once.
What to compare between quotes
Check the material, how many panels each opening has, the frame type, how the panels open, the warranty, the timeframe, and whether measuring and installation are included. Comparing quotes on those points tells you far more than the headline price.
How we quote
We come to your home for a free measure, bring samples of each material so you can compare them in your own light, and quote every opening. Our plantation shutters come with a 5-year warranty and are installed in 3 to 4 weeks, and orders placed by 30 November get 15% off.
